Dear Mr. O’Rourke and Members of the Evanston Cycling Club:

      I am honored to be selected as one of two recipients of the 2006 PEDAL Scholarship from your organization. This scholarship will assist me financially as I enroll at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. My plan is to pursue a degree in management. I will keep you posted as to my progress.

      This award is especially meaningful because I have acted in a support crew role for several rides and races sponsored by Evanston Cycling Club – the Buffalo Ride from Evanston to Afton for two years and the Over the Top Race for three years.

      Thank you for supporting higher education pursuits for Evanston High School students.
