Do you have a few minutes to burn? The Burnt Hill ride can be completed in less than an hour. Escape your daily worries for a moment, and enjoy this fun and easy loop ride without leaving the city limits.
Starting at Historic Depot Square, proceed two blocks up 10th Street to Center Street. Turn left and continue on Center Street to 6th Street. Turn left onto 6th Street and proceed south past the softball fields. At the bend to the left on 6th Street, the road continues south as Yellow Creek Road passing under Interstate 80. At the first intersection past the interstate, turn right onto Cheyenne Drive and continue west passing the high school entrance. Just past the high school entrance, turn left onto any of a couple of trails heading south to the top of Burnt Hill. Burnt Hill is located between the high school and Overthrust Road. Don’t be concerned which trail you take on Burnt Hill. Remember, there are no worries on this ride. Once you reach pavement south of the high school, proceed back to Historic Depot Square on Yellow Creek Road.
