SNOW REPORT: Bald Mountain Pass MIGHT still be closed on June 21st because of deep snow. The road race stage of the 20th annual High Uintas Classic Stage Race MIGHT start in Evanston at 9 a.m. IF this happens, USCF Pro Men, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Mas 35-44 and Mas 45-54, Pro Wom, 1, 2, 3 and Comp Cits race to snowline and back to Evanston. All others race to snowline and back to Christmas Meadows. Please go to the High Uintas Classic page of this website frequently to stay informed about more possible changes to the road race stage of this great race. NO WIMPS!
The Evanston, Wyoming Cycling Club is a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit corporation. Primary purposes of the Cycling Club include promoting community education of bicycle related issues; establishing partnerships with the local school district; encouraging the development of pathways for bicycle and pedestrian use; and advocating the sport of bicycling as healthy outdoor recreation.
The Evanston Cycling Club promotes bicycle education and safety through community programs such as Helmets for Heather and the Safe Kids Coalition. The Cycling Club offers PEDAL (Promoting Educational Development and Learning) scholarships to graduating Evanston High School seniors for post-secondary education. The Club also coordinates the annual bike safety poster contest for elementary age students.
